Eli Is Here!

It took him an extra week but he is here. Elijah David Bowling was born Friday 2/19/2010 at 9:05 p.m. He weighed eight pounds and was twenty and a half inches long. A typical Dave and Jessica child with big feet and lots of hair. Jessica had a rough start at the hospital with being poked and proded six times to get an I.V. going. She really hates needles so this was pretty tramatic for her. Then the epidural was not exactly pleasent either. But after she suffered through that she had a great delivery. Once she was fully dialated she only had to push through four contractions before Eli was out. The doc had me cut the umbilical cord and when I did it prayed blood all over my face and about half the room. It was pretty wierd. Anyways Jessica and Eli are both home and are both doing great. So here are the first round of pictures. And thank you to everyone for the love and support and the many prayers offered in our behalf. We have really felt your love for us. And once again we have felt our Father in Heavens love for us by blessing us with a perfect little baby. And an extra thank you to grandma and grandpa Bowling for watching the other three sick siblings for us.

The baby is not here yet, but we're happy to say that he will have a name when he arrives! We've decided on Elijah David-Eli is what we will be calling him. We're very excited to meet him! My due date is on Friday, so he could be here any time. We'll post pics. ASAP!

I don't have time to say much. I have to go pick up Kobie from school soon, but I could not let any more time pass without sharing our news. Well, on Wednesday my doctor wanted to do a quick ultrasound to see if the baby's head was down. I asked her to check to make sure that the gender of the baby was a girl. Hmmmm, guess what?!? It's a boy. Pretty crazy. I'm glad we at least have a LITTLE time to prepare. This has definately brought some new excitment for us. Although we would have enjoyed another girl, a boy will even us out a bit. It just feels a little more complete, I guess. Hard to describe it. Not sure on a name yet, we'll let everyone know soon....hopefully!

I Like To Keep It Short and Sweet-maybe not so sweet!?!

I just wanted to share some news that we have known for awhile. It's a.....girl! We did not call everyone to let them know when we found out. Just G-ma & G-pa Bowling and Carter. We knew that the info. would get spread eventually. Sorry if you all have not heard yet. We really need to make better efforts at keeping in touch a little more with everyone. We love you all very much and are greatful for our wonderful friends and family. Capt. Insano-hope you had a fantastic, fun, wonderful, lovely B-day! Ezra-we're glad your surgery went well and happy to hear your doing good. Your such a strong little guy! Oregoneons-sad you won't be coming this month, we really enjoyed getting to spend a little time with you this summer! Miss ya already-hope it's not too long before we get to see you again. Once again, love you all and GOOD NIGHT.
