NO, not a drag queen- a crazy rich woman, or something. Put together at the last minute-this looked better in person believe it or not. You can't see how gorgeous the hot pink lipstick, caked on rouge, and blue-blue eyeshadow are. Not to mention the lovely fake mole, beatiful authentic fur coat and gold bling shoes. And you sure can't tell how blinging and shiny those necklaces and gaudy earrings are. I'm pretty sure Dave was embarressed to be seen with me.
Kobie was Hob Goblin from Spiderman. Who? I don't know, but him and Preston do.

Eil got his first haircut before church the other day. The clown hair was just getting rediculous.

We had a great time at apple hill but we only took a couple of stroller pictures!

You can guess that this is Kobie's arm, but I love the way that Jessica is just shutting him down. Sorry dude it's Lilly's party.

Eli Is Here!

It took him an extra week but he is here. Elijah David Bowling was born Friday 2/19/2010 at 9:05 p.m. He weighed eight pounds and was twenty and a half inches long. A typical Dave and Jessica child with big feet and lots of hair. Jessica had a rough start at the hospital with being poked and proded six times to get an I.V. going. She really hates needles so this was pretty tramatic for her. Then the epidural was not exactly pleasent either. But after she suffered through that she had a great delivery. Once she was fully dialated she only had to push through four contractions before Eli was out. The doc had me cut the umbilical cord and when I did it prayed blood all over my face and about half the room. It was pretty wierd. Anyways Jessica and Eli are both home and are both doing great. So here are the first round of pictures. And thank you to everyone for the love and support and the many prayers offered in our behalf. We have really felt your love for us. And once again we have felt our Father in Heavens love for us by blessing us with a perfect little baby. And an extra thank you to grandma and grandpa Bowling for watching the other three sick siblings for us.

The baby is not here yet, but we're happy to say that he will have a name when he arrives! We've decided on Elijah David-Eli is what we will be calling him. We're very excited to meet him! My due date is on Friday, so he could be here any time. We'll post pics. ASAP!

I don't have time to say much. I have to go pick up Kobie from school soon, but I could not let any more time pass without sharing our news. Well, on Wednesday my doctor wanted to do a quick ultrasound to see if the baby's head was down. I asked her to check to make sure that the gender of the baby was a girl. Hmmmm, guess what?!? It's a boy. Pretty crazy. I'm glad we at least have a LITTLE time to prepare. This has definately brought some new excitment for us. Although we would have enjoyed another girl, a boy will even us out a bit. It just feels a little more complete, I guess. Hard to describe it. Not sure on a name yet, we'll let everyone know soon....hopefully!

I just wanted to share some news that we have known for awhile. It's a.....girl! We did not call everyone to let them know when we found out. Just G-ma & G-pa Bowling and Carter. We knew that the info. would get spread eventually. Sorry if you all have not heard yet. We really need to make better efforts at keeping in touch a little more with everyone. We love you all very much and are greatful for our wonderful friends and family. Capt. Insano-hope you had a fantastic, fun, wonderful, lovely B-day! Ezra-we're glad your surgery went well and happy to hear your doing good. Your such a strong little guy! Oregoneons-sad you won't be coming this month, we really enjoyed getting to spend a little time with you this summer! Miss ya already-hope it's not too long before we get to see you again. Once again, love you all and GOOD NIGHT.

Here are some more pictures that we did not have the time or patience to load on our last post. We wanted to keep you all guessing on the "when in Rome" picture, but that was just our hotel in Reno. For our 8 year anniversary we went to Reno for the night. We wanted to go to the Reno temple, but it opened late. We did hit the Sac. temple on the way home. We enjoyed eating at a yummy buffet and our fancy hotel room. We really enjoyed being away from the kids for a whole night. First time ever...thanks again grandpa and grandma! We will post some more recent pictures soon. Don't hold your breath, though!

This is Sherrie, Lisa, and Jessica since Jessica never blogs. We're helping her because she has three busy little children. Tonight we spent the evening together after getting kicked out of Mom and Dad's house--it was past curfew for the temple-going grandparents who are getting up at 5:30 tomorrow morning. To update Jessica's latest, we've done some Disneyland, had some t-ball, um.. dance, a few birthdays. Sorry no pictures now ..... stay tuned. Possibly. Here's some pictures of a wild, good time. Life is just passing me by in some unbelievable speed! My last entry-Kobie goes to the big "K"- wow, that was approximately 4 months ago? O.K. just to let you all know, you get to enjoy me at my best. I get to do this blogging thing at the end of the night, when my thoughts, math, spelling, and anything and everything are all off and confused in my little head. So... good luck and enjoy yourself trying to figure out just what it is that I am writing. Random thoughts here and there, not editing anything. Yeah well anyway, we're all still here, alive and well. Kobie is really enjoying school. He's made a lot of new friends and enjoys "chasing the girls" at recess. I get to teach his class art once a month for the art docent program. It's really fun, and the kids are great. Bella is finally potty trained. Whew! Now she's just waiting to start the dance classes that we promised she could take when she "goes on the potty all the time". She will love it! She's definately a natural. She comes up with these graceful ballet looking moves that really kind of shock us sometimes. We're always asking her where she learns it. It's so funny. Lilly's grown so crazy fast. She's just running all around with her silly curly hair. She's such a little character. Well, here are some pictures from the last few months. Let's see, there are some Halloween, pumpkin patch, back yard fun in the leaves, Lilly's b-day, and some others maybe? Oh, I will add our little hit-n-run action on our poor little van parked in our driveway that has postponed our Disneyland trip picture also. Well I guess I can't call it a hit and run anymore since the dudes confessed. But we still have'nt seen the money they owe us. Silly gangstas. Well, everyone have a great Thanksgiving. Kobie is now a Manzanita Mustang. WOO-HOO! He really enjoyed his first week of school. I signed up to be a "room mother" and am looking forward to seeing him in action.

Marine World!

Last week we took the kids to Marine World. They had a really good time. It was so fun to see Kobie and Bella go on all of the rides together. We also saw the Shuka (whale) show and the dolphin show. It gave us flashbacks from when Kobie was two, and we went to see Shuka. He stuck his head through the bars at the stadium seating and got it stuck. Silly kid! Dave was a little dissapointed because we missed seeing all of the animals. We did not realize that they close that part up a few hours before the rest of the park closes. Lilly would have loved to see them! She was excited to see the camels. We also saw the flamingos, and made it just before the butterfly exibit closed. That was cool. If it were not for the kids dislike for long car rides, we would go again soon. Oh well, I'm sure Dave would'nt mind if we never went again!

Okay, so I'm still trying to figure stuff out on this thing. I meant to add pics and info on Lilly on the last blog, but things were not working out. Here we go again. Well, she's 10 months old-going on 11 at the end of the month. She super sweet and fun. She just took her first steps the other day, so I'm sure she will be running around the house in no time. She loves watching her brother and sister play, and often joins in the fun. She's a good little girl, but also has a lot of her mamma in her. Stubborn old oak tree!

To start our blogging off right, we thought that updating everyone on our kids would be the best thing. Especially when we've had requests for pictures of Lilly since she's been born. And sad to say that many of you have only seen her in our X-mas card. Sorry about that. She does not really look like an Ewok-she's actually very cute. We have'nt been hiding her from you all, just a bit busy.

We'll start of with Kobie, who is now 5. Big brother is going to be starting kintergarten this year. WOW-time flies! He had 2 years of pre-school and did very well. He's a smart little bugger, did'nt get it from me though (this is Jessica bloggin'!) His latest love is for transformers and legos. He loves his sisters very much- torturing them that is! No, he's actually a great brother and has lots of fun with them. We had him take swim lessons this summer and he did great. He likes his dive sticks, and loves to go in Grandma Bowling's "hot pool". He's a great kid with a great sense of humor. We love ya bro!

And then there's Bella. So much to say about Bella, so little time. She sure is something all right. When she's sweet, she's the sweetest. Her hugs and kisses are the best. She takes after her mother- a little on the bossy side. She's very independent and knows what she wants. She's into the "girly" things, such as purses, dresses, shoes and whatnot. Her favorite things by far, are the disney princesses. She also loves duckies of any kind. She's a great bike rider (training wheels) and dancer.
